Sonneveld Group B.V. had an unannounced AIB audit on Wednesday 5 and Thursday October 6 2011. The AIB food safety and hygiene standard is one of the strictest standards in the world and is recognised on a worldwide scale. Sonneveld is proud to announce it succeeded this audit with 870 points, of a maximum of 1000 points. This represents an even better performance compared to previous years. Sonneveld is now the first Dutch company in the bakery industry to have acquired an AIB ‘unannounced Recognition of Accomplishment’.
Sonneveld has a good score in the unannounced AIB audit
Sonneveld has passed the annual unannounced AIB audit with flying colours. Sonneveld sees its voluntary participation with the AIB programme as an extra stimulus for improving its work processes and food safety. ‘The periodic AIB audits instantly result in the production floor employees being more involved and motivated. We are now one of the very few companies to have gained the BRC A* status (unannounced, passed in April 201)), as well as the AIB ‘unannounced Recognition of Accomplishment’ status. This confirms the high quality level we are aiming for.’, according to Maarten Boonstra, Quality Assurance and Care Manager.
Sonneveld has been participating since 2007
Sonneveld has been participating with the American Institute of Baking (AIB)’s ‘Food Safety Audit’ system since 2007. This standard is internationally recognised as one of the strictest for ensuring food safety. Sonneveld also realised the overall Excellent rating through announced audits in previous years.
