The organization Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) was established in 2004 to promote the production and use of sustainable palm oil for People, Planet and Prosperity. RSPO ensures that the growing demand for palm oil responsibly controlled and governed is. So RSPO ensures for example, that all the farms and people working in the plantations have better living and working conditions.

Sonneveld actively contributes to the use of natural and renewable raw materials in its production processes. This is how they preserve the environment for future generations. At the end of 2015 Sonneveld has made the last step in the field of sustainable palm oil. Sonneveld is going for the highest attainable, it means that now 90% of palm oil and palm oil-containing raw materials such as emulsifiers, is bought as Segregated RSPO. The raw materials of palm oil from Sonneveld for our customers are recognizable in the article names on the label, product specifications and bill. Customers see this by adding back the product name: RSPO SG or RSPO MB.
