11 April 2014 - Sonneveld publishes Sustainability Report 2013 (Corporate News)

Ever since 2009 Sonneveld publishes an annual Sustainability Report. All Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts of the company are mentioned in this report. Sonneveld's Sustainability Report 2013 is now available via the Sonneveld website. Also, the Sustainability Report of Orkla, the parent company, is now online available.

Sonneveld Sustainability Report

The last years were economically turbulent, this was noticeable in the whole bakery industry. Nevertheless Sonneveld remained his vision to sustainability. Sonneveld is constantly looking for areas of improvement in its CSR policy. Its activities in this area over 2013 are described in the Sustainability Report.

Some facts and figures:

• During the past five years, 40% less water is used in the production
• In a period of seven years, more than 50% less plastic packaging material was used
• 100% of the food safety audits were successful
• In 2013, the energy needs of Sonneveld were completely fulfilled using green energy

Orkla's Sustainability Report

In the middle of March Orkla, the parent company of Sonneveld, published its annual Sustainability Report. In its Sustainability Report, Orkla publishes all innovations and improvements of various companies in the field of food safety, nutrition and health, the environment and responsible sourcing.
