Sonneveld successfully achieved the unannounced AIB audit once more

Excellent score at unannounced AIB audit
Sonneveld has passed the annual unannounced AIB audit with success. Sonneveld considers its voluntary participation with the AIB programme, an extra stimulus for improving its processes and food safety. ‘The periodic AIB audits instantly results in more commitment from the employees working in production and they are more motivated. We are now one of the very few companies to have gained the BRC A* status (unannounced, passed in April 2011), as well as the AIB unannounced Recognition of Accomplishment’ status. This confirms the high quality level we are aiming for’, according to Maarten Boonstra, Quality Assurance and Care Manager. Sonneveld is still the first Dutch company in the bakery industry with an AIB 'Unannounced Recognition of Accomplishment’.
Ensuring food safety
Sonneveld has been participating with the American Institute of Baking (AIB) ‘Food Safety Audit’ system since 2007. This standard is internationally recognised as one of the strictest for ensuring food safety. Food safety is, just like quality, only realistic with the right attitude of our employees. To assess whether we do the right things, we let us check, unannounced, three times a year by independent institutions.
